Varun Hiremath has taken it as his mission to educate slum children, by providing them with necessary support and learning equipment.In the village of Nitlas near Panvel a fantastic thing happened in the last week.Under the leadership of Varun Hiremath, The Hiremath Family Foundation gifted 393 pair of brand new shoes to the children of Raigad Zilla Parishad Prathamik school.The shoes were gifted to the children who belonged to the age group of 6 to 14. Many of them slipped their feet for the first time in shoes.They used to walk barefoot to their school and walk barefoot on the dusty uneven streets, in the scorching heat, with blisters and wounds on their feet.Varun felt that it is an injustice, and effective steps must be taken so he gifted the brand new pair of shoes to the children.
The children were delighted after receiving the gift.It is a very hard truth that in many areas of our country children walk barefoot to their schools,this is a silent struggle which the poor and slum children face in various parts of India.Varun Hiremath, the CEO of The Hiremath Family Foundation is a highly dedicated individual who is working very effectively for the betterment of the lives of the poor and underprivileged children of our country.Varun Hiremath said- “A child who walks barefoot doesn’t just carry dust—they carry the weight of being overlooked,” Varun also said that “A pair of shoes doesn’t just protect the feet. It protects dreams.” These are the words which are required to be realised, carrying an important message to the system.The purpose of this initiative was not just to provide relief to the children by offering a new pair of shoes but activity provided a tremendous emotional boost which will help the children to dream bigger.

A 10 year old student of the school who also received the gift,shared his thoughts. He not only thanked Varun Hiremath but expressed his gratitude to Varun in his own words which carried emotion,he said- “Varun Sir gave us these. I will take care of them like they’re gold.” This statement not only reflects gratitude but these words carry a deep acknowledgement of the value and care. For an underprivileged child who is growing up in a rural setting,this kind of a gift is crucial for him or her.which carries much more valuable significance than the other. This kind of gift directly affects their hope, dignity and most importantly the belief.
